Tom Brown cannot persuade his wife to go calling with him. Mr. Jones, an intimate friend, is disappointed at not finding Brown home, and invites the latter's wife to take a sail with him. She accepts his kind invitation. Brown has an enjoyable afternoon, and just as he is about to return home meets Mrs. Jones, who has missed the last boat to the resort hotel.
