

Ines Gutierrez is an eight year old girl from a low income household with a scholarship to an elite private elementary school. On a sunny afternoon, her mother, Emilia, drops Ines off for a playdate with two of her privileged classmates. Little does Ines know, this play-date will be her first step into understanding what it means to be "othered", and the social burdens that come with it.
